  Died at 75 at Cushing Memorial Hospital. He lived in Farley all of his life. In his early years he operated a blacksmith shop in Farley, after which he was a Hupmobile and McCormick- Deering dealer for Platte County. For several years he travelled for International Harvester and since 1939 he had been associated with Lewis & Son, Platte City, Mo. He was a member of the Christian Church at Farley. He is survived by his wife, Maude Fankhanel, of the home; two daughters, Mrs Rosemary Bleakley, 228 5th. Ave., and Mrs Jeanne Forbach, RR 2; one son, Merle Fankhanel of National City, California; one brother Herman Fankhanel, East Leavenworth, Mo., and six granddaughters. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Platte City Christian Church, the Rev. LesterM. Weeks officiating. Burial will be at the Platte City Cemetery. Rollins - Mitchell Mortuary, Platte City, will have charge of the service. Death certificate confirms date of death as 12/25/1957. He's listed as a sales clerk for International Lewis & Son.
